LIORA • OR Imagery
Terms & Conditions
Every story we capture is important to us. These terms explain how bookings, payments, cancellations, photography services and image delivery are managed.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking or making payment, the client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions and agrees to them, subject to applicable South African law.
These terms should be read together with the relevant package description, quotation or written booking confirmation. Where specific written arrangements differ from these general terms, the agreed arrangements will apply to the extent permitted by law.
2. Regular Photoshoots and Event Bookings
Full payment is required to secure a regular photoshoot or event booking. A booking is confirmed only once the full payment has been received and reflects in LIORA • OR Imagery's account.
No date or time will be held without payment. An enquiry, verbal discussion, date request or invoice does not constitute a confirmed booking.
Dates remain available to other clients until payment has been received. Clients are encouraged to pay promptly to avoid losing their preferred date or time.
Proof of payment may be requested, but does not itself confirm a booking if the funds have not been received and cleared.
3. Wedding Bookings and Payments
A 30% booking fee is required to secure a wedding date. The date is confirmed only once this payment has been received and reflects in LIORA • OR Imagery's account.
The remaining 70% balance is due no later than two (2) months before the wedding date, unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing.
The booking fee compensates for reserving the date and committing resources to the booking. The treatment of the fee in the event of cancellation will be subject to the cancellation circumstances and applicable South African law.
Any additional costs, such as travel, venue charges or other agreed expenses, will be communicated to the client before they are incurred.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Clients should notify LIORA • OR Imagery in writing as soon as possible if they need to cancel a booking.
Payments are not automatically refundable in every circumstance. Any amount retained or cancellation charge applied will be assessed reasonably, taking into account applicable law, the timing of the cancellation, work already completed, costs incurred, the nature of the booking and the opportunity to rebook the date.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.
5. Rescheduling Policy
Clients may request to reschedule a booking, subject to availability and written confirmation from LIORA • OR Imagery. Rescheduling is not confirmed until an alternative date and time have been agreed in writing.
- A maximum of two (2) rescheduling changes is permitted per booking.
- Clients should give as much notice as reasonably possible when requesting a change.
- A third rescheduling request may result in the original booking being treated as forfeited, and a new booking and payment may be required.
- Any amount retained, forfeited or charged will remain subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the booking.
If LIORA • OR Imagery needs to reschedule, the client will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and offered an alternative arrangement. Any applicable rights or remedies under South African law remain unaffected.
6. Late Arrival and Missed Appointments
Clients are responsible for arriving at the agreed location at the scheduled time. Late arrival may reduce the time available for the session.
If a client does not attend and has not contacted LIORA • OR Imagery, the booking may be treated as a missed appointment. Any resulting charge or retained payment will be assessed subject to these terms and applicable law.
7. Locations, Venues and Travel
The client is responsible for confirming any venue requirements relevant to their session. Venue entry fees, permits, venue hire charges and other third-party expenses are excluded unless expressly included in the agreed package.
Any travel charges or additional expenses applicable to a booking will be communicated and agreed upon in advance.
8. Photography Style and Image Selection
LIORA • OR Imagery works in a natural, lifestyle-focused style. Clients should review the available portfolio before booking to understand the photographer's approach.
The photographer retains creative control over composition, lighting, editing and final image selection. Unedited RAW files are not included unless expressly agreed in writing.
The number of images delivered and the editing included will be as described in the selected package or written booking agreement.
9. Image Delivery and Client Galleries
Final edited images will be delivered using the method and estimated timeframe communicated for the relevant booking. Delivery times may vary depending on the package, workload and circumstances.
Where a private online gallery is provided, the client is responsible for keeping the gallery link and PIN confidential and downloading their images within the stated availability period.
Clients should keep their own backup copies after downloading. If a gallery has expired, reactivation may not be possible. Any reactivation or recovery fee will be communicated before the service is provided.
10. Copyright and Personal Use
Copyright in photographs created by LIORA • OR Imagery remains with the photographer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Once the agreed payment has been made, the client receives permission to download, print and share their delivered photographs for personal, non-commercial use, subject to any written licence conditions.
Photographs may not be sold, licensed to third parties for commercial use or materially altered in a way that misrepresents the photographer's work without prior written permission.
Clients may share their photographs on social media. Crediting LIORA • OR Imagery is appreciated.
11. Portfolio and Social Media Use
Client photographs will not be used for portfolio display, advertising or social media marketing merely because a client has booked or paid for a session.
Where LIORA • OR Imagery wishes to use identifiable photographs for promotional purposes, appropriate permission will be requested separately. For photographs of children, permission must be obtained from an appropriately authorised parent or guardian.
Refusing promotional use will not, by itself, affect the client's booking or the photography service.
12. Privacy and Personal Information
LIORA • OR Imagery handles personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Personal information may be used to respond to enquiries, manage bookings and payments, communicate with clients, deliver photographs and meet applicable legal obligations.
Please read our Privacy Policy for further information about personal information, image handling and client rights.
13. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
If circumstances beyond either party's reasonable control affect a booking, both parties will make reasonable efforts to communicate and agree on a practical solution. Any refund, rescheduling or other remedy will be handled in accordance with the booking agreement and applicable law.
14. Consumer Rights and Applicable Law
These terms are intended to operate in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, where applicable.
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove a right or remedy that the law does not permit the business to exclude.
